Malaybalay City – The Malaybalay City Water District celebrated its founding anniversary on September 2, 2016, marking the 41 years of its mandate of acquiring, installing, improving, maintaining and operating water supply and distribution systems, maintaining and operating wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal facilities and conducting functions and operations relative to water resource development pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 198 (Provincial Water Utilities Act of 1973).
According to General Manager Juanito “Jun” Aroa the accomplishment of the district through the years is attributed to the collective efforts and teamwork of its workers. He said that unity made the MCWD a strong institution to carry out its mission to constantly improve its service in delivering quality and reliable water supply.
The celebration started with a Thanksgiving mass followed by the celebration through a simple banquet shared by all the MCWD Employees.
