Malaybalay City - Being committed to provide excellent customer service, the new management of Malaybalay City Water District (MCWD) headed by General Manager Glenrose T. Ledesma through the Human Resource Unit organized a Personality Development Seminar for the MCWD Employees on March 1, 2018 at Bukidnon State University Hotel Laboratory, Brgy. Casisang, Malaybalay City.
The said activity was participated by 41 employees consisting of Regular, Casual and Job Orders from the different divisions of the district. With the aim of enhancing each participant’s unique personality, the Resource Speaker Ms. Joanna A. Abrera of Luce di Luna Educational Consultancy and a consultant of Department of Tourism (DOT) to European tourists/guests visiting the country, introduced different techniques and style of effective customer service. Topics included in the seminar were basic techniques in social skills and personality projection, development and improvement of effective communication skills, handling different communication styles and skills for excellent customer service.
Ms. Joanna Cabrera also emphasized to the participants the importance of the correct and proper representation of one’s self as it greatly impacts the corporate image of the agency which is the Malaybalay City Water District. This involves proper grooming, dress styles, posture, social manners and proper etiquette in dealing with different customers every day.
At the end of the activity, the participants were able to learn different techniques to develop and practice positive self-presentation, carrying one’s self with confidence and overcoming barriers to effective communication and customer service. The MCWD will conduct a second run of the personality development seminar which will be participated by another group of MCWD employees.
