Malaybalay City – On January 28, 2019 at the Governor’s Office, the Provincial Government of Bukidnon represented by Gov. Jose Ma. R. Zubiri, Jr. released the funding of Php 1.6 Million to Malaybalay City Water District (MCWD) through its Chairman of the Board Roberto V. Tinsay, Jr. together with General Manager Glenrose T. Ledesma and the Newly Appointed Director Wilhelmina S. Catane to finance the construction of Mainline along Natid-asan Road going to the Natid-asan Paglaum Village.
The Provincial Government of Bukidnon under its housing and resettlement program, established the Natid-asan Paglaum Village Project at Sitio Natid-asan, Casisang to uplift the living conditions of the homeless and underprivileged constituents of the Province of Bukidnon. However, said area is already experiencing water shortage and would require a separate water supply line to accommodate additional water demand. Relatively, part of the MCWD Core Values is the commitment to meeting one’s obligations to provide effective water services to its customers, thus MCWD has committed to support the Provincial Government of Bukidnon in the said project.
Jointly undertaking the implementation of the Water Distribution System going to Natid-asan Paglaum Village Project, the Provincial Government of Bukidnon has offered to lend fund to MCWD in the amount of Php 1.6 million for the construction of Mainline to the Proposed Natid-asan PGB Housing. A Memorandum of Agreement was executed for the purpose for which MCWD shall reimburse the amount in 2 years at zero interest.
Thus, the MCWD Board of Directors, Management and Staff express its sincere appreciation to the Provincial Government of Bukidnon and to Governor Jose Ma. R. Zubiri, Jr. for assisting the MCWD to carry out its mandate for the benefit of the constituents of the City of Malaybalay.
